Since its inception in 2019, the India SPM summit has brought together academics, industry leaders and professionals to cover a wide range of Software Product Management (SPM) topics through keynotes, Deep Learning workshops, panel discussions, fireside chats, presentations on industry best practices and success stories. In addition, this year’s summit will feature a student case competition that underscores the active involvement of students from Product and Business disciplines nationwide, fostering a diverse and vibrant community of future leaders in the field.

IIMB Director Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan said, “For over two decades, CSITM at IIMB has leveraged its global network and resources to serve as a hub for open exchange of ideas among academics, government, and industry. Indian IT firms and start-ups are increasingly building world-class software for both domestic and global markets. To that end, a key initiative by the Centre—the SPM India 2025 Summit—is an opportune moment for domain experts to explore how management function impacts PM around proximate triggers such as AI and emerging tech”.

“The SPM Summit has established itself as one of the most prominent global conferences in the product management space over the last few years. It attracts all kinds of PM enthusiasts from industry leaders to B-school students. I am excited about this 7th edition of the India summit and look forward to interacting with and learning from the PM community at our beautiful IIM Bangalore campus”, said Information Systems area faculty Prof. Shankhadeep Banerjee, Chairperson, CSITM.

On the occasion Prof. S. Sadagopan, Summit Chair and Founder Director, IIIT-Bangalore and Chairman of ISPMA India shared, The four trends, namely, software impacting every industry, many start-ups delivering services through software apps, many hardware pieces getting embedded with an increased share of software, and AI / ML with data everywhere impacting software fundamentally, allow for population-scale, secure and safe software products – the focus of SPM India 2025 Summit. You will hear a whole range of experts from Space, FinTech, EV, Consumer Electronics, next Gen transport, to name a few”.

Venkatesh Mahadevan, Summit Co-Chair and Fellow-British Computer Society, Fellow-ISPMA India further shared, “Product management needs to be integrated as the DNA for any successful organization—it bridges the gap between technology, business, and customer needs, driving innovation and value creation. ISPMA’s Software Product Management Summit 2025 is a pivotal platform for leaders to exchange insights, strategies, and best practices that shape the future of product-driven enterprises. As a CIO in my previous avatar, I see this event as a catalyst for fostering collaboration, accelerating digital transformation, and empowering teams to build products that truly resonate with the market. It’s not just an event; it’s a movement to redefine how we think about and execute product management in an ever-evolving digital landscape.”

Hans-Bernd Kittlaus, Chairman of ISPMA also shared, The SPM Summit is established as a must event for product managers - for learning, networking and inspiration.”
