IIMB’s R&P office to host seminar titled ‘Make in Incredible India: Nation Equity, Emotions and Globalization’ on July 18
July 17, 2019, Bengaluru: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIM Bangalore will host a research seminar titled: ‘Make in Incredible India: Nation Equity, Emotions and Globalization’, on July 18 (Thursday), 2019, from 03.30 pm, at Classroom P22. The talk will be delivered by Professor Durairaj Maheswaran, Stern School of Business, New York University (Area: Marketing, Strategy).
Dr. Durairaj Maheswaran is Paganelli Bull Professor of Marketing at New York University Stern School of Business. He teaches courses in marketing management, international marketing, consumer behavior and business and global environment.
Prof. Maheswaran has been with NYU Stern for more than 25 years. His primary research areas of interest include cross-cultural consumer behavior; international marketing; attitude change. He has published numerous articles in publications including Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Marketing Research and Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. He was the NEC Faculty Research Fellow from 1997 to 2001. In addition to his research, Prof. Maheswaran has been recognized for his excellence in teaching and received the Citibank Excellence in Teaching Award in 1993.
Before joining NYU Stern, he held several managerial positions in marketing. He also taught and conducted seminars in several universities around the world.
Prof. Maheswaran received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Madras, India, his Master of Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, India, and his Doctor of Philosophy in marketing from Northwestern University, USA.
