01 JUNE, 2022: Phase 1 of the New Hostel Block, comprising 205 rooms, was inaugurated this morning by Shri MD Ranganath, Member, Board of Governors, IIMB, and Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, in a simple ceremony.
Prof. Rajendra K Bandi, Dean Administration, lauded the team of architects for working in the face of challenges posed by the pandemic. Stating that the entire block would be completed by the end of the year, he welcomed faculty, students and staff to take a tour of the premises of Phase 1 of the project.
Shri MD Ranganath congratulated the team for their efforts.
Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan offered an overview of the plan for the hostel and noted that it was built to global standards.
The dignitaries then walked through the hostel block, guided by Sanjay Mohe of Mindspace Architects and his team.
