IIMB

08 March, 2022: Lauding the spirited and sincere role that women employees play in making IIM Bangalore the institution it is, Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of the B-school, said it made him proud that women comprised over 50 per cent of the school’s workforce.

In his special address to mark International Women’s Day, he exhorted women to educate their daughters and promised support towards this cause.

Acknowledging the balancing act of women employees during the pandemic, when work from home was the norm, he said it was their commitment which ensured that the institute continued to function smoothly despite the disruption caused by the pandemic.

The Staff Recreation Club of IIMB and the Human Resources Office put together events and contests to mark the day. They have also planned a series of workshops around health, fitness and wellbeing for women employees.
