3 February, 2017, Bengaluru: A four-member team of Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) students, from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), comprising Abhinav Gupta, Bhartendu Vimal, Kumar Parimal and Anshul Arora, has bagged the first prize at IIM Lucknow’s entrepreneurship summit ‘Ventura’. The team bested 165 participating teams from 36 B-schools including IIMs, IITs & ISB, to win the finals of the competition, held from January 27 to 29, 2017. ‘Ventura’ is a national-level B-Plan challenge organized by IIM Lucknow.

The competition, which continued over the last two months, covered the initial days of independent research by participating teams from 36 of India's well known B-schools, to being part of eight shortlisted teams for the final presentation at IIM Lucknow’s E-Cell. The summit witnessed ingenious ideas presented to the VC fraternity, comprising eminent leaders such as Prerak Mehta (Syndicate Partner at White Unicorn Ventures), Rohit Koshy (Investor at Baxi), Rishabh Golchha (VC at Inc42) and faculty members.

The panel awarded the winner’s trophy and certificates to the IIMB team. The VCs also invited the students for further mentoring sessions and discussions for investment relating to their start-up idea.
