Residential Segregation in an Urbanizing India (Census Record Digitization)

This project investigates one of the foundational questions in urban sociology --- the impact of urbanization on agrarian cleavages such as caste and religion. I have worked on this project over the last five years and the central paper from the project is now R&R at the American Journal of Sociology (AJS).  I have attached the AJS paper (as submitted to the journal) with this proposal.
