Chandrashekhar to speak at Masterclass webinar series

Chairman of Centre for The Digital Future to hold forth on new and emerging technologies in governance on January 12

03 January, 2023: The Centre for Software and IT Management (CSITM) of IIM Bangalore, in association with Wadhwani Institute of Technology and Policy (WITP), will conduct the third event under the Masterclass webinar series ’Being Future Ready’ on 12 January 2023.

The topic for this webinar, scheduled between 10.00 and 11.00 am, is ‘New and Emerging Technologies in Governance.’ Mr. R Chandrashekhar, the chairman of the Centre for The Digital Future based in Gurugram, will be the speaker. Among other things, the Masterclass will include nuances such as:

New and Emerging Technologies in Government: why is it important to use them?

Use of New and Emerging Technologies in Government: issues and concerns.

How do you go about using emerging technologies in the Government (resources required, writing of scope and RFP, etc.). The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

Mr Chandrashekhar, a former secretary to the Government of India for Electronics and IT, was chairman of the Telecom Commission of India and secretary Telecom. He has had a distinguished career in the Department of Information Technology, where he initiated the National e-Governance Programme. A graduate of IIT Chennai and a member of the Indian Administrative Service since 1975, he has also been president of NASSCOM (National Association for Software and Services Companies).
