05 June, 2023, Bengaluru: A proposal titled, 'Reduce Use of Energy in Hotel Rooms through Altered Choice Architecture', co-authored by Prof. Kanchan Mukherjee, Chairperson and faculty, Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management, IIM Bangalore, and Vivek, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore’s Doctoral programme, is a Winning Global Idea in the ‘Global Call for Ideas and Papers’ of the Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) global movement.
The LiFE global movement was launched during the Glasgow Climate Change Conference – Conference of the Parties (COP26) – held in 2021. As part of this movement, NITI Aayog initiated the ‘LiFE Global Call for Ideas and Papers’ last year. This was a call for proposals to enhance sustainability which can be scaled globally for large impact. NITI Aayog had received more than 2,500 proposals from 67 countries.
Vivek received the certificate in a ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of India and other senior dignitaries, held in New Delhi on 5th June 2023.
