Professor Pulak Ghosh is the only academician among Top 10 Most Influential Analytics Leaders in India

Professor Pulak Ghosh from the Quantitative Management and Information Systems (QMIS) area at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore is the only academician in the country to feature in Analytics India Magazine’s Top 10 Most Influential Analytics Leaders 2015.

Every year, the Analytics India Magazine identifies “leaders who illustrate the data-driven ideal for today’s decision economy”. Prior to joining IIMB in July 2009, Professor Ghosh served as Associate Director, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, USA; Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics, Georgia State University, Associate Professor at Emory University, USA. He had also served on National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant review panel. Professor Ghosh is a visiting faculty at many national and international institutions.

He serves in the Advisory group of Big Data at the UN Global Pulse, a big data initiative by the United Nations. He is also an academic fellow at the Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning promoted by the Reserve Bank of India. He is an advisor of analytics to the State Bank of India. His main research interests are Big Data, Machine learning, Business analytics, Marketing analytics, Statistics,  Banking analytics and the use of big data for social value creation.
