CEO of HelpAge India and author of 'A Million Missions - the Non Profit Sector in India', Cherian will shares stories                                              from a sector where a lot of good is being done by unsung heroes

The Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore has great pleasure in announcing the latest of its LeaderSpeak dialogues with a talk by Mathew Cherian, author of 'A Million Missions - the Non Profit Sector in India', on November 27 (Thursday) at 5 pm at the IIMB Auditorium.

Mr Mathew Cherian will talk about his book and initiate a discussion on the subject. An engineer by profession, Cherian has been a Director with Oxfam, a member of the Governing Body of Guidestar International, a Member of the National Human Rights Commission and is currently the Chief Executive of Helpage India.

The event is open to all. Interested persons may send a confirmation email to centrecgc@iimb.ernet.in. This will also be an opportunity for corporates and practitioners to connect with NGOs and fine tune their CSR and Sustainability strategies.

The Leaderspeak series, spearheaded by the Centre for Corporate Governance & Citizenship (CCGC) at IIMB has been a continuing dialogue, involving thought leaders, with the purpose of initiating discussions on subjects that are serious and contemporary. They have led us to introspect on several issues such as Ethics, Governance, Responsibility and Citizenship, underscoring the importance of Leadership. We have been privileged that industry leaders, authors, ombudsmen and members of the civil service, have initiated and facilitated the discussions in our earlier sessions
