Staff Recreation Committee at IIMB celebrates Kannada Rajyotsava with special events on 21st November

20 NOVEMBER, 2023: To celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava in the Golden Jubilee Year of IIM Bangalore, the Staff Recreation Committee (SRC) of IIMB has planned several special events and competitions.

The month-long activities for the IIMB community ranged from proverb completion contests and ‘pick and act’ to essay writing and more.

On 21st November, well-known music composer Praveen D Rao will inaugurate the festivities themed around Karnataka’s rich folk culture, at 11:30 am at MDC Lawns.

HH Sri Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the Maharaja of Myore, will be the chief guest at the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations and will deliver a special address at 2:30 pm at the IIMB Auditorium.

This will be followed by ‘Janapada Jangam’, with participants from Maharaja’s College, University of Mysore; Manasagangotri, University of Mysore; and Karnataka State Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University.

The SRC is led by Ms Komala Devi and comprises members Harsha Kumar B, Suma H G, Rajesha H T and  Darshan H N.
