The session will be moderated by Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Chairperson, Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability, and Professor in the Finance & Accounting area at IIM Bangalore. The panellists include Mr. Soumitra Bhattacharya, Chairman, Bosch Ltd; Ms. Bhuvana Veeraragavan, Senior Partner, AZB & Partners, and Mr. Divy Malik, Partner, McKinsey & Company.

The discussion will bring together leading voices from industry, law, and consulting to examine the evolving role of governance and board accountability in mergers and acquisitions. The panel will explore key issues surrounding corporate oversight, strategic decision-making, and governance practices that extend beyond the completion of M&A transactions.
About the speakers
Mr. Soumitra Bhattacharya, Chairman, Bosch Ltd., is a Chartered Accountant with over four decades of leadership experience across India, Germany, and Turkey. He spent more than 28 years with the Bosch Group, culminating in his tenure as Managing Director of Bosch Ltd. and Regional President of the Bosch Group in India until 2023. He currently also serves as CEO and Director of the Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM).
Ms. Bhuvana Veeraragavan, Senior Partner at AZB & Partners, has nearly two decades of experience advising clients on private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. She has represented leading global investors and corporations and is recognised for her solution-oriented approach and expertise in structuring complex transactions under Indian corporate law.
Mr. Divy Malik, Partner at McKinsey & Company, advises clients in the agriculture and chemicals sectors, particularly specialty chemicals, on growth transformations, corporate strategy, market entry, commercial excellence, mergers and acquisitions, and post-merger integration. His work also focuses on sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives.
