Dp

24 January, 2024: Dr. Deepti Ganapathy, Chairperson, Centre for Management Communication at IIM Bangalore, was part of a panel called ‘CEOs Agenda’ at the recent CII Karnataka Leadership Summit in Bangalore. The panel was moderated by past Chairman of CII Karnataka Ramesh Ramadurai.

Dr Deepti Ganapathy spoke on how CEOs can develop their organization goals aligned with the country’s goals and communicate this not only within their organization but also with their value chain.

“India has the world’s largest and youngest population. Given that this is an opportunity to build on the human capital index, how can businesses/leaders create employment/entrepreneurship pathways for this young population, who are waiting for an opportunity and are very well expecting future workplaces to expect them to have an understanding of ESG and its implication and integration,” she said, adding that communication is key to manage perception and understand gaps in stakeholder engagement.

“Communication is a crucial component in Scope 3 constructs, where businesses need to share measurement, disclosures, mitigation and adaptation with their whole supply chain,” she explained.

The panel included Supriya Salian, Managing Director, Plansee India High Performance Materials Pvt. Ltd., Alind Saxena, President, Sales & Whole-time Director L&T Technology Services, and Parag Sharma, Founder & CEO, O2 Po.
