IIMB Alumni PGP ‘86 batch pledge one crore endowment for the Institute

IIMB Alumni PGP 1986 batch, at their 25th year reunion, pledged Rs 1 crore to the Institute to support research and internationalization efforts. "On behalf of everyone in IIMB community, I thank the entire PGP '86 batch for their generous contribution and this grant will be used for supporting faculty and for bringing in scholars from outside IIMB to visit the Institute ", said Director Pankaj Chandra.

Mr Rakesh Godhwani, Head, IIMB Alumni Association said, "This has given us a much needed booster shot to our plans, it also gives us tremendous confidence that an entire batch is with us in our journey. When I joined the institute in 2008, this is exactly what I had hoped for - a day when our alumni stand together and support the Institute. The good news is that IIMB knows its goal. The better news is that it has begun the journey and the best news is our alumni are walking along as stakeholders and enriching the experience. I am deeply moved and humbled by this batch's solidarity and commitment to our alma mater". Rakesh thanks the five representatives of the PGP '86 batch Professor Hemant Bhargav, Samir Kumar, Sangeetha Mall, Anand Kasturi and Monish Mahurkar for their ceaseless efforts in mobilizing one crore.
