The Post Graduate Programme in Software Enterprise Management (PGSEM) course at IIMB announced admissions to its 14th batch recently. As a prelude, an Open House session, designed to provide information on the programme and interaction with alumni, students and faculty was conducted on June 30, 2012 at the IIMB campus. Around 85 experienced professionals working in the IT industry registered and attended the open house. Several queries of the participants on the new admission criteria , academics and several other aspects related to the course were discussed.
A second Open House session is planned on July 28, 2012 at the campus. Around 100 participants are expected for the open house.
Commenting on the Programme, Professor S Ramesh Kumar, Chairperson PGSEM says , "This programme at IIMB enables every student to combine state of the art knowledge with practical relevance -an important value added prerequisite for young software professionals in today's dynamic world, as they cruise into managerial positions".
The programme is designed to allow participants to graduate in a period of two and a half academic years. After completing the first year, participants can take a break from the programme for one or more quarters. This flexibility even extends to completing the course in six years.
The PGSEM program has been successfully offered by the institute for the last 14 years. Every year, around 75 professionals are enrolled into the programme.
