MahaChatur AI Chatbot by PGP’10 Samina Bano strengthens the inclusive skilling ecosystem
Initiative in partnership with RightWalk Foundation launched by CM Devendra Fadnavis at Maharashtra Skill & Apprenticeship Summit 2026
28 April, 2026, Bangalore: At the Maharashtra Skill & Apprenticeship Summit 2026, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched the MahaChatur AI Chatbot, an AI-powered citizen service interface for apprenticeship, developed under the initiative of the Department of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation in partnership with RightWalk Foundation.
The initiative is supported by PGP’10 Samina Bano, Distinguished Alumna Awardee 2023, and Founder & CEO of RightWalk Foundation, whose work continues to shape how governance systems deliver access at scale.
Designed as a multilingual, voice-enabled, and conversational platform, MahaChatur AI aims to make skilling and employment pathways accessible to first-generation learners, rural youth, women, and persons with disabilities, bringing equitable public service delivery closer to those who need it most.
This builds on RightWalk Foundation’s sustained impact, driving implementation of the Right to Education Act across 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh, securing landmark Supreme Court of India verdicts benefiting over 5.3 lakh underprivileged children across 20,000 schools, and developing an award-winning online RTE system.
Reflecting on her journey, Samina received the DAA in 2023, saying, “The platform that IIMB provided me has been instrumental in shaping my journey towards social inclusion. I want education to be a matter of right, not a matter of choice.”
The launch of MahaChatur AI underscores the increasing role of AI-enabled solutions in public service delivery and highlights the contribution of IIMB alumni in building scalable, inclusive systems that expand access to education and livelihoods across India.
