PGP ’24 alumnus Anant Ashutosh Sharma strikes gold at 38th National Games 2025

The Olympic-style multi-sport event saw participation from 10000+ athletes

10 February, 2025, Bengaluru: Anant Ashutosh Sharma, a PGP 2024 alumnus, won a gold medal in Lawn Bowls for Delhi state at the 38th National Games 2025. The National games are India’s Olympic-style multi-sport event organized by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GOI.

This year, the event held at Uttarakhand from 31 January to 9 February 2025, saw participation from 10000+ athletes representing 28 states, 8 Union Territories, and the Services Sports Control Board (Defense Forces), all contending for medals in 32 different sports.

Even while at IIMB, Anant, an Institute Rank 1 (IR1) holder, represented Delhi at the 37th National Games Goa in 2023 and secured two bronze medals.

“Winning the Gold Medal at a national level is not just a personal achievement but also a testament to the holistic education and support system I received at IIM Bangalore. I hope that this can inspire everyone, especially current students, to continue pursuing their true passion”.
