VENIX: A new era of innovation and entrepreneurship at IIM Bangalore

Merger of flagship student fests, Vista and Eximius, to create a singular platform for business and entrepreneurial engagement
17 May, 2025, Bengaluru: The students of IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) announce the formal integration of its two flagship student-led events, Vista, the annual international business summit, and Eximius, the entrepreneurship conclave, into a single, consolidated platform: VENIX. The merger, symbolizing an evolution that retains the long-standing legacy of both fests, is set to chart a new course towards an even bigger, better, and bolder reimagination of business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
A legacy of excellence
Vista and Eximius have, over the years, built legacies that are distinct in form yet united in purpose. Vista, as IIM Bangalore’s premier international business summit, has consistently attracted over 70,000 participants from more than 1,000 institutions, setting national standards in speaker series, case competitions, and industry-led workshops. Eximius, by contrast, has served as an entrepreneurial engine, hosting over 1,000 startups and 400 corporates, and creating a robust pipeline of ideation, mentorship, and funding engagement for India’s early-stage ventures.
Scope and orientation of VENIX
The formation of VENIX reflects a deliberate effort to align institutional resources, student energy, and industry collaboration under a unified framework that is more ambitious in scale, more rigorous in its academic and entrepreneurial programming, and more aligned with the strategic direction of IIM Bangalore. Serving as the Institute’s singular flagship event in business and entrepreneurship, VENIX will enable:
- Enhanced scale and reach
VENIX will command broader visibility from national and international arenas, expanding the network of business leaders, startups, and corporate innovators. - Diversified Program Offerings
VENIX will showcase a calibrated offering of keynote sessions, workshops, panel discussions, case competitions, and networking events. Each component will be designed to ensure multidisciplinary engagement, real-world problem solving, and cross-sectoral collaboration. - Partnership Opportunities
The integrated platform will allow for deeper and more sustained engagement with corporate and public sector partners. These new and legacy partnerships will play a pivotal role in improving the overall quality of the events and in enriching the learning experiences of the participants. - Innovative Learning and Mentorship
The merger will also see an expansion in mentorship opportunities, providing participants access to domain experts, investors, and innovation advisors. The repositioning also creates the foundation for distinctive, cross-sector collaborations.
Stakeholders, including students, entrepreneurs, corporates, policymakers, and educators, are invited to be part of VENIX and stay tuned for what is to come.
