IIMB to host CCGS Conclave 2025 exploring the Future of Corporate Governance on 4 July
Insights on accountability, innovation, and evolving board practices from industry and academic leaders
25 June 2025, Bengaluru: The Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability (CCGS) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore will host its annual flagship event, the IIMB Corporate Governance & Sustainability Conclave 2025, on 4 July 2025 at 10:00 AM, at the IIMB campus.
This year’s theme, ‘Navigating the Future of Corporate Governance: Accountability & Innovation,’ reflects the rapidly evolving expectations around transparency, sustainability, and the role of corporate boards in fostering long-term value. The conclave aims to bring together thought leaders, policymakers, regulators, practitioners, and academics to explore how corporate governance is being reshaped by innovation and accountability imperatives.
The event will feature a keynote address by Mr Sundararaman Ramamurthy, Managing Director & CEO, BSE Ltd., and an inaugural address by Justice Dr D.Y. Chandrachud, Former Chief Justice of India.
Event Highlights:
The first session titled, ‘Dynamic Relationship Between Corporate Board Structure and Firm Performance,’ moderated by Prof. Anil Suraj, Public Policy area, IIMB, will feature leaders from NSDL, Bosch India, Happiest Minds and faculty of strategy from IIMB.
The next session explores the ‘Influence of Family-Owned Businesses on Corporate Governance’ moderated by Prof. Dalhia Mani, Entrepreneurship area, IIMB, with an insightful discussion that includes experts from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Schevaran Laboratories, and Sadashiva Consulting Services.
The following session focuses on ‘The Audit Committee: What Is It and What Is Its Role?’ moderated by Mr Suresh Senapaty, Member of the Board, Wipro Ltd, focusing on an in-depth dialogue with CFOs from Wipro and Canara Bank, and leaders from ICAI.
The final session on ‘Corporate Governance: Trends & Future Reforms’, moderated by Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Chairperson, Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability, IIMB, features perspectives of leaders from Mela Ventures, CISCO India, Syndicate Bank, and ICSI.
