Centre for Public Policy to host Corporate Roundtable on leveraging private enterprise for early disaster preparedness

The session on 3 June to gather corporate, government, and humanitarian stakeholders

28th May, 2025: The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), in collaboration with ADRA India, will host a Corporate Roundtable focused on Leveraging Private Sector’s Expertise for Enhancing Early Action in Disaster Preparedness scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at venue N-001, IIMB.

Disasters often strike with little warning, making early preparedness critical to saving lives and reducing economic losses. This initiative aims to engage the private sector by tapping into its innovations, resources, and organizational strengths to proactively reduce disaster risks.

The Roundtable will bring together a dynamic mix of stakeholders from the corporate sector, humanitarian organizations, and government agencies. Discussions will focus on practical, technology-driven strategies for early action, as well as policy frameworks that can enable and encourage private sector involvement in disaster preparedness efforts.

ADRA India brings valuable on-the-ground insights from over three decades of humanitarian work in disaster response, sustainable development, and community empowerment. Guided by its mission to serve humanity so all may live as God intended, ADRA India plays a vital role in enabling vulnerable communities to anticipate and respond to emergencies more effectively. Their partnership with CPP reflects a shared commitment to bridging academic research and real-world impact, creating pathways for scalable, inclusive solutions in disaster preparedness.
