Call for Submissions: 9th Biennial Supply Chain Management Conference to be held at IIMB on 19–20 December 2025
Submissions open on 15 June and close on 15 August 2025 for the conference themed on ‘Geopolitics, Sustainability, and GenAI: Navigating the New Age of Supply Chain’
7 June 2025, Bengaluru: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will host the 9th Biennial Supply Chain Management Conference (SCMC) on 19 and 20 December 2025, at the IIMB campus. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Geopolitics, Sustainability, and GenAI: Navigating the New Age of Supply Chain’. The event invites academics, researchers, doctoral students, and industry practitioners to present their work, share insights, and engage in meaningful discussions on emerging trends and disruptions in the field of operations and supply chain management.
Submissions of extended abstracts open on 15th June 2025 and close on 15th August 2025. The conference will feature paper presentations, invited sessions, and opportunities for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange. Participants are invited to explore critical challenges and innovations across a wide range of supply chain and operations topics.

Key Highlight: Doctoral Student Paper Competition
A special session of the conference will be dedicated to the Doctoral Student Paper Competition, aimed at recognising exceptional research by PhD scholars in the field of operations and supply chain management. The best submissions will be selected by a Faculty Review Committee and awarded:
- Best Paper Award – ₹20,000
- Second Best Paper Award – ₹15,000
Doctoral students must submit an extended abstract by 15th August 2025 through the regular conference track, along with a cover letter from their advisor confirming eligibility. Selected participants will be invited to submit a full-length paper (maximum 32 pages, double-blind format) for final evaluation.
Eligibility and Registration Details
To be eligible for the student paper competition, participants must be doctoral students on or after 1st April 2025. The submitted work must be original, unpublished or under review, and primarily authored by the applicant. Co-authored papers are permitted if the lead contribution is by the PhD student. The research must be within the domain of operations and supply chain management.
The conference will be held in person at the IIM Bangalore campus. Registration is open to students, faculty, corporate participants, and delegates. The registration fee is ₹2,000 for students, ₹5,000 for presenting authors from faculty/corporate, and ₹7,000 for academic or corporate delegates. International participants will be charged at $40, $60, and $100 respectively.
