1 September, 2025, Bengaluru: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) will host a seminar on, ‘Geopolitics and the New Rules for Global Businesses’, to be led by Prof. Srividya Jandhyala, ESSEC Business School, Singapore (Strategy area), at 3 pm on 9th September 2025, at P22.
Abstract: A great disruption is underway. Geopolitics is reshaping the foundations of international business and managers must navigate a new and changing world. Building on the book, ‘The Great Disruption: How Geopolitics is Changing Companies, Managers, and Work’, authored by Prof. Srividya Jandhyala, this talk will uncover structural changes in the global business environment, the business challenges from an increasing national security focus, and the implications of trade wars for global businesses. With a focus on real world case studies and actionable insights for businesses, this session offers a roadmap for how companies, managers and work are affected in an unpredictable global business landscape.
Speaker Profile: Dr. Srividya Jandhyala is a Professor of Management at ESSEC Business School. Her research focuses on global strategy, geopolitics and international business. Her award-winning research has been published in a wide range of top academic journals. She is a frequent speaker at academic and practitioner events. She teaches courses on Strategy, International Business and Geopolitics in the undergraduate, graduate and executive programs. She was previously a Fung Global Fellow at Princeton University. Prior to joining ESSEC in Singapore, she served on the faculty of the George Washington University in Washington, DC. She received her PhD in Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
