The session will feature Tomoko Minagawa, Founder and President, Japan Women’s Health Innovation Association and Executive Director, Women’s Health Commercial Lead at Organon K.K., along with Ankita Pegu, Assistant Vice President, NSRCEL Women Entrepreneurship Program at IIMB.
The session will also feature a startup showcase by Devhuti Chetan Palan, Founder of Arundhati Healthcare, India, a FemTech venture building science-backed, user-informed solutions addressing women’s hygiene and diagnostic needs.
Women’s health innovation is increasingly emerging as a global economic and policy priority. The FemTech market is projected to reach nearly USD 100 billion by 2030, while addressing gaps in women’s healthcare could unlock up to USD 1 trillion in global economic value by 2040. At the same time, Japan’s aging society and India’s rapidly expanding digital health adoption ecosystem present complementary opportunities for cross-border collaboration. Women entrepreneurs, startups, and evolving policy frameworks are playing a critical role in accelerating innovation and shaping the future of women’s healthcare.
This session will examine how both the Indian and Japanese innovation ecosystems are shaping women’s health innovation through policy, markets, and entrepreneurship.
