Abstract

The seminar will examine India’s rapid emergence as a significant contributor to high-quality global research and scholarly publishing. The session will further explore how India has transitioned from prioritizing high-volume academic output to producing research that increasingly appears in prestigious, high-impact international journals. It highlights the opportunities this shift creates for scholars, institutions, and collaborative research, while also reflecting on the structural, intellectual, and policy changes that can further strengthen India’s presence in top-tier academic discourse in the years ahead.
