India is truly a continent with over one billion population dispersed over 0.6 million settlements spread across a geographical area of 3.3 million sq.km. Even though urbanization is on the rise, bulk of the people, and accounting for nearly 70%) still live in rural areas. Mobility and economic development is closely interrelated, and the function of mobility brings in the economic value addition to the people.
