Developing a Knowledge Base for Policy Making on India–EU Migration
This is a 2-year research project which is being done jointly by the IIM Bangalore, the European University Institute in Florence, Maastricht University, and the Indian Council for Overseas Employment under the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. The project aims to develop the evidence base on India-EU migration by bringing out several research papers, policy notes, and briefs on various aspects of India-EU mobility. Some of the topics include bilateral remittances; Indian diaspora contributions from the EU; ethnographic dimensions of the Indian diaspora in the EU; Indian student mobility to the EU; India-EU investment and labor mobility linkages; India-EU trade and labor mobility linkages; recognition barriers faced by Indian professionals in the EU; health worker migration from India to the EU; bilateral tourism flows; implications of EU enlargement for Indian migration. |
