The one-year full-time Executive Post Graduate Programme of IIM Bangalore shoots up 14 spots to be placed at No. 35

30 January, 2018: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’s one-year fulltime Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) has been ranked among the top 35 in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2018 released on Monday (Jan 29). IIM Bangalore’s programme has shot up 14 spots to be placed at No. 35 in the FT Global MBA ranking. The other management schools among the top 35 include Stanford Graduate School of Business, INSEAD, University of Pennsylvania: Wharton, London Business School, Harvard Business School, University of Chicago: Booth and Columbia Business School.

In the last three years, IIMB has specifically improved in the parameters related to value for money, increase in salary percentage, aims achieved, and recruitment of women students.

The ranking is based on surveys of the business schools and their alumni. Programmes are assessed according to the career progression of alumni, the school’s idea generation and the diversity of students and faculty. This ranking features the world’s best 100 full-time MBA programmes.

Professor Sourav Mukherji, Dean of Academic Programmes at IIMB, said: “We have constantly tried to improve the learning experience of students in the programme even while keeping an eye on their career aspirations. We have strengthened our career development services to specifically understand how our students can realize their professional goals. We are glad that all these are showing positive impact on the rankings, but we are acutely aware that there is a lot of room for improvement”.

The participating schools, around 150 of them, meet the FT’s entry criteria, including being accredited by EQUIS or the AACSB.
