IIMB features among Top 20 in the Financial Times Global Masters in Management 2016 ranking

The institute moves 7 spots up from the previous year; also tops the School Diversity criteria in the FT 2016 global ranking

12th September 2016, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’s two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) has been ranked 19 in the Financial Times Global Masters in Management 2016 ranking. IIMB is also the only management school in India to lead in school diversity with 28% women in the two-year programme, 21% women faculty and 25% of women on the school advisory board.

The Top 20 schools, ranked by FT this year, include University of St. Gallen, HEC Paris, London Business School, Esade Business School, among others.

“IIMB’s moving up seven spots to gain a position among the Top 20 in the Financial Times Global Masters in Management 2016 Rankings reiterates our efforts towards achieving global excellence. Also it’s a proud moment at IIMB, to top the School Diversity criteria. We focus on building leaders in a diverse ecosystem, as it helps to draw upon the widest possible range of views and experiences,” said Prof. Raghavan Srinivasan, Director Incharge, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

After making a debut in the Financial Time Global Masters in Management Rankings in 2015 and being ranked 26, IIM Bangalore’s two-year PGP has shown improvement in several parameters of the 2016 rankings.

The 12th annual FT Global Masters in Management 2016 ranking features a record 93 Masters in Management programmes, up from 70 in 2014. The FT Global Masters in Management 2016 ranking is based on a relative assessment of the world’s top pre-experience degrees in general management, calculated according to data provided by schools and alumni. The ranking is based on data collected from two surveys: one of the participating business schools and the other of alumni who graduated three years ago - the class of 2013.
