Event Details
Olympus: Olympus is advertised as the hunt to find the one true leader from a galaxy of bright minds in B-schools across the globe. The first round tested the participants on general aptitude, logic and general knowledge. Subsequent rounds tested their personality by video on an abstract topic, psychometrics, resume and interview. The finale will test participants on various aspects of leadership as well as management vis-a-vis marketing, finance, operations, strategy, etc. The prize money for the competition is INR 1,30,000. Amit Agrawal has reached the finals of this competition.
Corporate Catalyst: This is a one-of-its-kind contest, which tested candidates on skills which are necessary to excel in the field of investment banking, such as valuation, market knowledge, pitching, command over corporate finance, banking and negotiation skills, along with general aptitude. The subsequent rounds tested analysis and compilation for a case involving investment thesis, valuation, strategies and risks. The final round will involve presentations in front of a qualified jury. More accurate the valuation, and better the pitch, the better is the deal that the I-Banker fetches. The prize money for the competition is INR 60,000.
Kanika Garg and Amit Agrawal have reached the final of this competition. They participated in the event due to their acumen in finance and strategy.
Kanika Garg is an All India Mathematics topper and an IT professional. She acquired extensive experience working with IBM before joining the EPGP programme of IIM Bangalore. Amit Agrawal is a Fellow Chartered Accountant. He has worked with the Big Four consultancy firms and large multinational corporate houses. Before joining the EPGP at IIM Bangalore, he worked as the Zonal CFO at Essel Group’s listed company. Together Amit and Kanika are working on starting a new venture – aajaa.in, a concept for ride sharing of cars and bikes.
