11 September, 2018, Bengaluru: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIM Bangalore will host a research seminar titled: ‘Linguistic Diversity, Official Language Choice and Nation Building: Theory and Evidence’, on September 12 (Wednesday), 2018, from 02.30 pm, at Classroom P11. The talk will be delivered by Dr. Rajesh Ramachandran, Goethe University Frankfurt.
Speaker Profile: Dr. Rajesh Ramachandran graduated in Economics in Delhi and obtained his PhD at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Since June 2013, he has been a post-doctoral fellow at the Chair for the Study of Economic Institutions, Innovation and East Asian Development. He is currently working on the project AFRASO (Africa's Asian Options) supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). His main area of research is at the intersection of development economics and its political economy. His principal interests include language policy, economics of discrimination and institutional economics.
