High-powered panel to discuss ‘Investing in Indian Equities’ on Sep 24 at IIMB

18 SEPTEMBER, 2018: The Centre for Capital Markets and Risk Management (CCMRM) at IIM Bangalore will host a Distinguished Investor Panel on ‘Investing in Indian Equities – The Past, The Present and The Future’, on September 24 (Monday), between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 pm.

The panellists include Prashant Jain, Chief Investment Officer, Executive Director, and Fund Manager at HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd., Ravi Varanasi, Chief of Business Development, National Stock Exchange, Navneet Munot, Chief Investment Officer, SBI Mutual Fund, and Mathew Cyriac, who co-headed Blackstone Group's PE Business. The panel will be moderated by Prof. S.G. Badrinath, Canara Bank Chair in Banking and Finance at IIMB, and Prof. Venkatesh Panchapagesan, Chair, Real Estate Research Initiative at IIMB.

The panel discussion follows the inaugural ceremony to commemorate an agreement between the Investor Protection Fund of the National Stock Exchange of India and IIM Bangalore.

Prof. G. Raghuram, Director, IIM Bangalore, and Vikram Limaye, MD and CEO, National Stock Exchange, will address the gathering on the significance of the agreement.

Under this agreement, IIMB’s Centre for Capital Markets, led by Prof. S.G. Badrinath, will develop, disseminate and continually manage investor education content that is product-neutral and demand-driven. The material will incorporate the latest in digital technology, be informed by the success of global financial literacy programs and be delivered both online and offline under the Centre's Platform for Investor Education (PIE).
