IIMB’s R&P office to host a research seminar on November 28
November 20, 2019: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIM Bangalore will host a research seminar titled, ‘Dividend Initiations and Information Content – The Impact of the 2003 Dividend Tax Cut’, on November 28. Prof. Balasingham Balachandran from La Trobe University will deliver the talk.
Prof. Balasingham Balachandran received his Master of Social Science and Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Birmingham. He has published research papers in high-quality finance journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Financial Markets. He has led many successful research grant applications. Most notably, he secured funding of more than $600k from the Australian Research Council. His insights into the empirical applications of corporate finance are evidenced by the media interest in his work as well as his expert opinion in the Supreme Court proceedings.
