PGP2 student Adityesh Mitra wins BLoC Kaybase Best Internship Project Contest 2017

06 November, 2017, Bengaluru: Adityesh Mitra, second-year student of IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), has been adjudged the winner of the internship project competition, BLoC Kaybase Best Internship Project Contest 2017.

The finals of the competition, held in Chennai on Thursday, November 2, 2017, was jointly organized by BusinessLine on Campus (The Hindu BusinessLine’s web resource for B-schoolers) and Chennai-based market research agency Kaybase. The founder of Kaybase is IIMB alumnus Ashok R Sankethi.

All the participants were presented with BLoC Kaybase certificates and prizes organized by Kaybase.

Adityesh Mitra presented his report on ‘Understanding customer satisfaction and trends of watches in CSD channel’. The project, commissioned by Tata Administrative Service (TAS), delves into the product portfolio trends with regard to the Timex, Titan and Fastrack brands of Titan Company Ltd, and analyzes customer preferences along with purchase patterns in the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) outlets in seven states.

Adityesh’s report throws light on matching the product to Army uniform guidelines, scaling up in terms of the range of offerings and enhancing after-sales service. An important highlight of his report was the need for the company to keeping watches relevant.
