PGPPM Policy Speaks series: IIMB alumnus and consulting analyst Pawan Sachdeva delivers lecture on ‘Urban Water Management & Governance’ on June 20
19 June, 2018: Students of the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will host Mr. Pawan Sachdeva, Consulting Analyst – Urban Water Sector, and alumnus of IIMB (PGP 1994-’96), as part of the ‘Policy Speaks’ series, where experts in public policy address students of IIMB.
Mr Sachdeva will speak on ‘Urban Water Management & Governance’, between 3 pm and 4:30 p, on June 20th, at Classroom C-23 at IIMB.
Mr. Sachdeva, who is based in Singapore, has extensive experience working with urban water utilities in India, Indonesia, Mangolia and Vietnam. A B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur (1986-1990), he is an alumnus of IIMB and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore (2016-2017).
After graduating from IIMB, Mr Sachdeva worked in the domain of Public Market Investments, both on the buy side and the sell side. As an investment professional, he has worked with SBI Mutual Fund, SSKI Institutional Broking (IDFC Broking), and Principal Mutual Fund. He is a Visiting Professor at IIT Kharagpur, where he teaches a short-term course on ‘Economic Analysis of Urban Water Services’. He has also developed a four-domain (4-D) framework – physical, operational, financial and regulator domains for analyzing an urban water utility.
