Why are software delivery teams eternally engaged in a battle to contain one of the most volatile aspects of software engineering, “the scope”? Not managing the scope can seriously jeopardize a project, as the scope is the bedrock on which the product or solution is built. Needless to say, no matter how strong the building blocks are, an unstable foundation can bring the edifice down.
