Public Policy Club at IIMB to host Dr. Ajai Chowdhry in a virtual webinar on 25th November

21 NOVEMBER, 2020: The Public Policy Club (PPC), formed by the students of two-year MBA program at IIM Bangalore, invites interested participants from management institutes, research scholars, faculty and others working in the public policy sphere, for a guest webinar on the topic, ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Evaluating the India Opportunity’, by Dr. Ajai Chowdhry, on November 25th (Wednesday). 

Dr. Ajai Chowdhry is among the six founding members of HCL and the former chairman of HCL Infosystems. He has held the post of Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIT Hyderabad, IIT Patna and is currently serving as the Chairman of IIIT Naya Raipur. He is also the chair of the FICCI – Startup Committee and Electronics Sector Skill Council of India. As part of his endeavour to help startups, he is also on the board of the Indian Angel Network (IAN) and the investment committee of the IAN fund and the EDF fund. Dr. Chowdhry has also served on various government committees and is a strong proponent of indigenous design and manufacturing ecosystem in the country. Dr. Chowdhary was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2011, for his significant contribution in the field of IT.

The webinar aims to help participants understand the opportunities and shortfalls that need to be navigated by emerging business leaders, from an industry veteran who has been active and vocal in this space for a long time.
