Marketing area faculty leads Team India Masters Women as they gear up for their world debut in Portugal

13 November, 2025, Bengaluru: An all-women team from India is set to make history at the World Beach Ultimate Championships in Portugal this November, the country’s first-ever representation in the Masters category.

Captaining the team of professionals, artists, educators, and entrepreneurs, bound by a shared love for Frisbee, is Prof. Sreelata Jonnalagedda from the Marketing area at IIMB.

“As an all-women team, we can take on a host of different roles, and of course, the bonding and sisterhood here are unparalleled,” says Prof. Jonnalagedda, reflecting on the spirit that drives the team as they train under the Chennai sun, preparing for their world debut.

At IIMB, Prof. Jonnalagedda’s research focuses on market design, freemium pricing, and digital marketing, exploring how incentive structures influence buyer–seller behaviour and market functioning.
