IIMB’s R&P office to host seminar titled ‘Stochastic Bandits for Sticky Recommendations’ on June 10
June 03, 2019, Bengaluru: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIM Bangalore will host a research seminar titled: ‘Stochastic Bandits for Sticky Recommendations’, on June 10 (Monday), 2019, from 11.30 am, at Classroom P22. The talk will be delivered by Dr Theja Tulabandhula, University of Illinois at Chicago (Area: Production & Operations Management, Decision Sciences).
Dr Tulabandhula is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to that, he was a Research Scientist at Xerox Research (Machine Learning and Statistics group) from 2014-2016. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and a dual degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur where he was awarded the Prime Minister's Gold Medal. His research interests include designing new machine learning and optimization methods for sequential decision making, with a focus on applications in retail and transportation.
