Talk on ‘Org Culture & Feed Forward (Perf. Mgt.)’ on August 09

08 AUGUST, 2019: The Office of the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management, the two-year weekend MBA at IIM Bangalore, will host a talk on ‘Organizational Culture and Feed Forward: Performance Management’, by Uma Rani T.M., Senior Vice President, SAP India, and K.G. Umesh, Director – Human Resources, The Himalaya Drug Company, Bangalore, from 2:30 pm to 4 pm on August 09 (Friday), in Classroom N-204, at the IIMB campus.

Umesh holds a post graduate degree in Human Resources Management. He has also pursued the Executive General Management Program (EGMP) from IIM Bangalore. He is a Coaching Certified Professional (CCP). In a career spanning 32 years, he has worked in organizations like Grasim Industries, Cipla, Astra Zeneca, BPL Limited before joining The Himalaya Drug Company in 2000.  He has worked in the areas of Human Resources Development, Industrial Relations, Training and Development. He is a Life Member of the National HRD Network (NHRD) and the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), and a visiting faculty in several management schools. His interests include cricket, wildlife photography and travel.

Uma Rani is the first woman technologist from SAP Labs India to be appointed to the SAP Global Senior Leadership Team, breaking new ground for women in technology in India and globally. She is a Senior Vice President and Co-Head for Application Innovation Services (AIS) at SAP, leading 1,400 team members across eight countries to deliver world-class service and support to more than 45,000 SAP customers. With IT experience spanning over 27 years, Uma has driven technology innovation. 

A multidimensional thinker and strategist, Uma is an advocate for “management by empowerment”. As a leadership coach, Uma is inspiring and supporting the next generation of leaders at SAP with professional development. She is the recipient of the Exemplary Women Leadership Excellence Award by CMO Asia. She has been featured as a Woman Worth Watching by International Diversity journal.  She is a sought-after speaker at industry events, including IIMB, PESIT, Grace Hopper Conferences, ICF, SAP TechEd, and SAP SAPPHIRE. 

She holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics from College of Engineering, Trivandrum. She also holds a post graduate degree in management from IIM Bangalore and has completed multiple executive programs at INSEAD and Harvard University.
