Rusha Das is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Public Policy Area at IIM Bangalore. She obtained her PhD from IIM Ahmedabad, where her research focused on analyzing the political dynamics surrounding changes in environmental impact assessment (EIA) regulations in India, utilizing a neo-Gramscian perspective. Rusha was honored with the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for a Research Fellowship in 2020-21. During this period, she was a visiting scholar at the Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy (AHCD) at the Graduate Institute Geneva. In her role as a visiting scholar, Rusha investigated modes of citizen engagement and participation within the frameworks of environmental policymaking, with a specific emphasis on EIA in Switzerland. Before pursuing her PhD, she accumulated 5.5 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in various esteemed management institutions in Mumbai. Her primary research interests encompass environmental politics, policymaking, and governance, and she employs diverse qualitative methods in her research.
