Event features keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops on digital marketing and a Hackathon night

10 February 2019, Bengaluru: Students of the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) at IIM Bangalore, in association with IIMB’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub NSRCEL, today hosted ‘Drishti 2019’ – a Visionary Leadership Summit and Alumni Reunion. This is the second edition of ‘Drishti’.

The industry leaders showed a glimpse of what the future holds. In addition to the interesting keynote speeches and panel discussions, the event also included workshops on digital marketing and a Hackathon night.

Addressing the audience, Professor G. Raghuram, Director, IIM Bangalore, welcomed everyone to the beautiful campus of IIMB. He also spoke on the new infrastructure being built at the existing and the new IIMB campus and how that is to be utilized in the best possible manner.

In addition to the above, he shared his views on the PGPEM program. “Everybody is in the program for the learning value,” he added.

Sumit Chauhan, Head - Lifestyle Business, HARMAN International spoke on the value and association of brands in an individual’s life. He also discussed three important trends on what will influence and what the brands have to take care in terms of driving the strategy. “Social media and influencers play a vital role, everything is going mobile thanks to the penetration of smart phones and the Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming a key factor in how people and brands want to transform themselves,” he explained.

The panel discussion on ‘Digital Transformation’ was moderated by Professor Anshuman Tripathy, faculty from the Production & Operations Management area at IIMB, while the discussion on ‘Dealing with Technological Disruption’ was moderated by Professor Prakash Bagri, adjunct faculty, IIMB. The panel on ‘Alternative Finance’ was moderated by Professor P C Narayan, adjunct faculty from the Finance & Accounting area at IIMN, while the one on ‘Women Who Took up the Unconventional Path’ was moderated by Madhuvathi Ananth, Head, Seller Marketing - Flipkart Marketplace.
