Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) (MBA) - 2025-26

Admission Procedure

The programme

The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) is a one-year full-time residential programme leading up to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Eligibility

The basic criteria for applying to the programme include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Applicants from SC, ST and PwD categories should have a minimum of 45% or equivalent CGPA2
  • Minimum 5 years (and preferably less than 12 years) of work experience as on March 31, 2025, after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree
  • A valid GMAT or GRE score - the GMAT or GRE Score should be valid as on the date of application submission in each round.

Test scores

It is mandatory to submit the official scorecard or the test-taker copy (if official scorecard has not yet been received) along with the application.

  • Please note that the IIMB EPGP code for GMAT is Q9H-KK-84 and for GRE is 1675. Use these codes to have your score sent directly to IIMB. Your official score report from Pearson / GMAC (for GMAT) or ETS (for GRE) will be used for verification using the above codes. This process is mandatory.
  • Note: Online GMAT/GRE score (exam taken at home) will not be accepted for EPGP 2025.

Required documents

The documents to be submitted as part of the application process are listed below. Please ensure that all the documents submitted are complete in all respects.

  • SSC, HSC and Bachelor’s degree transcripts
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate
  • GMAT/GRE scorecard
  • Statement of purpose (indicating your achievements and future goals)
  • Work experience letters / first and last payslips (indicating the date of joining)
  • SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS certificate, if applicable
  • Relevant disability certificate for persons with disability (PwD)

 


  • All information in this document is pertinent to the admissions cycle (2025-26) alone, and therefore no inference can be made from this document about the admissions process that will be used for future admission cycles at IIMB. IIMB reserves the right to change, modify or adopt any new admissions process that it deems necessary, at any point.
  • Applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s degree but have completed their CA/ICWA/CS after Class XII, are also eligible to apply for EPGP 2025. The requirement of minimum percentage marks /CGPA is the same as a Bachelor’s degree.

Reference letters

Submission of TWO (online) reference letters is mandatory. Provide details (email id and contact details) of two persons as your referees in the on-line application. One reference should preferably be from the current employer or from an individual who is able to evaluate your job performance. References will have to be submitted online by the referees directly on or before the stipulated last date for submission of application. Please inform the referees accordingly when you approach them for providing references. References are a part of the application and you will be able to submit the application only after the “Reference” section is complete. No separate extension will be allowed for submission of references. References cannot be received/submitted separately.

Application process: Stage I

The EPGP admission process starts with the submission of the online application form. The online application form can be accessed at https://www.iimb.ac.in/programmes/epgp The application fee is non-refundable and should be paid online.

Only those applications that are complete in all respects and meet the minimum academic and other criteria specified above are considered for the next stage in the admission process. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

Application process: Stage II

After the interviews, each applicant is assigned a composite score. The score is a composite of multiple factors including academic track record, GMAT/GRE scores, quality of work experience, performance in a writing ability test and the interview. The number of offers, which depend on the availability of seats, are made based on this composite score. The number of offers will be further subject to the candidate meeting a minimum cutoff in terms of the composite score and / or any other factor score that the admissions committee may deem fit.

Reservations

IIMB follows reservation for EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD in accordance with the law.

Important Dates

The IIMB marketing team and the admissions team will hold a number of information sessions to disseminate information about EPGP and to answer questions that potential applicants may have about the programme. The selection process for the EPGP 2025-26 batch will be conducted in three rounds. Candidates can submit their application during any of these three rounds.

Candidates should apply to any one of these three rounds only. Candidates found applying in more than one round will be disqualified from further process of selection at any stage.

Disputes

Any dispute concerning admissions for the EPGP Batch 2025-26 would be subject to jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Bangalore only.
