06 April, 2024, Bengaluru: The Student Affairs Council (SAC), representing students of the two-year full-time MBA at IIMB, hosted ‘Aabhar’, on the evening of 5th April 2024, at the Amphitheatre on campus.

The event, held on the eve of the 49th Convocation, was an occasion to thank office-bearers of various student committees and clubs for their enthusiasm and effort in organizing a range of activities and events throughout their two years on campus and donning the leadership mantle when required.

Fairy lights lent a magical air to the Open-Air Theatre as students and their parents listened to witty and wise words from the Director, the Deans and the Chairperson of the PGP and PGP-BA programmes at IIMB. The Director, Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, spoke of his days as the Student Cultural Secretary at IIT Kanpur, where he said organizing a variety of events not only led him to meet very interesting people, it helped him build lasting friendships as well.

Dean Programmes Prof. Rahul Dé thanked the parents for their unstinting support and congratulated the graduating students on securing good placements.

Dean Faculty Prof. Dinesh Kumar emphasized the need to live in the present, not regret the past or fret about the future. Chairperson PGP & PGP-BA Prof. R Srinivasan made a special mention of the work done by the Treasurers of the Student Trust and commended their diligence.

Certificates were awarded to all the office-bearers of committees and clubs, and the Student Affairs Council also felicitated administrative offices for their support.
