IIMB’s EPGP students placed as first runners-up at Blitz - The Startup Challenge organized by IIM Calcutta in their Annual Entrepreneurship Summit Genesis
The three-round contest with two rounds of case studies and one simulation round required providing detailed cross-domain execution plan and implementation strategy for issues faced by start-ups
08 February, 2021, Bengaluru: Soumyashanto Mandal, Surajkumar Senapati and Abhinav Goswami, all students of IIM Bangalore’s one-year fulltime MBA programme Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), have been placed as the first runners-up at Blitz - The Startup Challenge, organized by IIM Calcutta in their Annual Entrepreneurship Summit - Genesis.
The challenge had more than 250 participants and was open to all colleges as well as courses. It was a three-round contest involving two rounds of case studies and one simulation round. The problem statements were real-life scenarios faced by start-ups. It required providing a detailed cross-domain execution plan and implementation strategy for the start-ups.
Sharing that they had a great time participating and brainstorming for the contest, the students said it was a great opportunity to represent EPGP and IIMB at this prestigious stage, and that they looked forward to enriching their learning experience through such opportunities.
Only last month, an EPGP team had won the Global Graduate Business Challenge organized by the Forum for Industry Interaction, IIM Ahmedabad in association with the MBA Society, Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, Canada. The Global Graduate Business Challenge is a global case-solving competition to test the competitors’ problem-solving skills.
