IMR Doctoral Conference (IMRDC) 2024

IIMB Management Review (IMR) and the Office of the Doctoral Programme are organising the IMR Doctoral Conference (IMRDC) 2024 on the 2nd & 3rd of February 2024 at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB).

20 January, 2024, Bengaluru: In its 15th year now, IMRDC is an annual benchmark event among the doctoral student community in Management and associated disciplines. IMRDC 2024 is a two-day event with select paper presentations and two Keynote Lectures.

IMRDC 2024 is one of the milestone events commemorating the Golden Jubilee Anniversary of the Institute. This year, IMRDC is being conducted in tandem with the PhD Alumni event, celebrating the reunion of former doctoral students, in the Golden Jubilee year of the institute.

IMRDC 2024 has scheduled keynote addresses by Professor Sanjay Kallapur, Accounting, Indian School of Business and Professor Balram Avittathur, Operations Management Group, IIM Calcutta.

This year we have received about 125 full paper submissions from leading management schools and universities across the country. Twelve papers, of the 125 received, have been selected for presentation at the conference through a rigorous review process by our Review Committee, with a dedicated discussant to critique each paper.

As a pre-eminent doctoral colloquium, the objective is to encourage doctoral research and facilitate collaborative work among researchers from different institutions. We aim to provide a forum where insightful feedback from senior researchers and academicians can help improve the quality and rigour of doctoral student research. IMRDC 2024 will be held at the IIMB campus, with a limited hybrid model to facilitate the online participation of some Discussants and delegates.

The Conference Co-Chairs for IMRDC 2024 are Professor Apurva Sanaria (Organisational Behaviour & Human Resources Management, IIMB) and Professor Aditya Shrinivas (Economics, IIMB). The Conference Co-Hosts are Professor Jishnu Hazra, Editor-in-Chief, IIMB Management Review and Professor Ananth Krishnamurthy, Chairperson, Doctoral Programme, IIMB.

The IMR Doctoral Conference continues to distinguish itself as a much-awaited event in India's doctoral community, commended by academics and participants for the thorough and constructive feedback provided through its “one exclusive discussant per paper” format.

We welcome the IIMB Community to participate in IMRDC 2024 and benefit from the rich insights it has to offer. We invite you to visit the Conference website at https://www.iimb.ac.in/imr-doctoral-conference for regular conference and schedule updates.
