One-year blended learning initiative aims to strengthen cross-cultural competence and professional engagement with Japan

11 November, 2025, Bengaluru: The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) at IIM Bangalore invites applications for its Japanese Language Conversation and Culture Study Program (JLCC), a one-year learning initiative designed to build linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding among professionals, students, and Japan enthusiasts.

The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre works to deepen mutual understanding between India and Japan through research, teaching, and policy outreach, advancing cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration.

The program combines online learning with exclusive in-person Language and Culture Workshops conducted by experienced Japanese teachers. Through this blended approach, participants gain conversational fluency along with a deeper appreciation of Japan’s social, business, and cultural contexts.

Open to learners at two levels, Beginner (JLPT N5) and Level II (JLPT N4), the program is ideal for:

  • Professionals working with Japanese partners or organizations
  • Students aspiring to study or build careers in Japan
  • Individuals passionate about Japanese culture and society

Program start date: 8 January 2026
