The one-year full-time executive management programme of IIMB shoots up 13 spots to be placed at No. 49 in the FT rankings

31 January, 2017, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore’s one-year fulltime Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) has been ranked among the top 50 in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2017 released on Monday. IIMB’s programme has shot up 13 spots to be placed at No 49 in the FT ranking. The other management schools in the top 50 include INSEAD, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, MIT: Sloan, University of California at Berkeley: Haas, etc.

The ranking is based on surveys of the business schools and their alumni. Programmes are assessed according to the career progression of alumni, the school’s idea generation and the diversity of students and faculty. This ranking features the world’s best 100 full-time MBA programmes.

Professor R. Srinivasan, Director Incharge, IIMB, said: “The credit goes to all faculty colleagues who, as part of the EPGP and Admissions Interview committees, recruit a high-calibre cohort for the programme and as professors put them through a demanding learning experience in their course offerings.”

Professor U. Dinesh Kumar, Chairperson, EPGP, added: “The EPGP Office ensures a high level of support to all students throughout the programme year while the Career Development Services (CDS) strives to match every student's expectations with recruiters’ specific demands.”

Professor Vasanthi Srinivasan, Chairperson, Alumni Relations, said: “The Alumni Office has been continuously engaging with EPGP alums and connecting them with the larger IIMB alumni network, and their efforts over the years are now paying off.”

A total of 156 schools took part in the 2017 edition of this ranking. All participating schools meet FT’s entry criteria, including being accredited by EQUIS or the AACSB.
