Professor Sandeep Yadav Nominated for 2024 Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award

Prof. Sandeep has been invited to present his paper at the Academy of International Business (AIB) 2024 Conference in Seoul from July 2-6

1 July, 2024, Bengaluru: Professor Sandeep Yadav from the Strategy area, IIMB Young Faculty Research Chair, has been nominated for 2024 Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award at the Academy of International Business (AIB) 2024. Prof. Sandeep will present his paper, ‘When Does Starting Unregistered Impact Foreign Entry Speed? Evidence From Developing Country SMEs’, at the AIB 2024 Conference in Seoul, scheduled from July 2-6.

Prof. Sandeep’s research delves into the critical factors influencing the pace at which small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from developing countries can penetrate foreign markets, particularly when they initially operate without formal registration. The study sheds light on the unique challenges and strategies that these firms employ, offering valuable insights for policymakers and business leaders.

Prof. Sandeep's primary research interest lies in understanding the internationalization processes and distinct challenges of firms from emerging markets. His work examines how these firms navigate the complex and often volatile global landscape.

Another critical area of Prof. Sandeep's research is the temporal aspects of internationalization. He investigates the factors that influence the speed at which firms expand into foreign markets, highlighting the importance of timing in strategic decision-making. His work also focuses on the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in multinational firms.
