Annual alumni meet Sparsh 2024 celebrates 15 years of EPGP with a plethora of activities on campus
Event features speeches, panel discussion on Digitalization, sporting activities, campus tour and the cultural night
12 February, 2024, Bengaluru: The office and student cohort of IIM Bangalore’s one-year fulltime MBA for working professionals – Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), in collaboration with Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Alumni Association (IIMBAA), hosted the annual alumni meet ‘Sparsh 2024’ on 11th February 2024. This year’s annual alumni EPGP meet was of special significance commemorating the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the institute, as well as it being the 15th year of EPGP. Moreover, the current batch is the first to stay on campus full-time, marking a new beginning for EPGP.
Present at the inauguration were Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore; Prof. Ashok Thampy, Chairperson, Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management and faculty of the Finance & Accounting area of IIM Bangalore; Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Dean – Faculty, Chairperson, Data Centre & Analytics Lab and faculty of the Decision Sciences area of IIMB; Prof. Sourav Mukherji, Dean – Alumni Relations & Development and faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area of IIMB, and Komala Devi, AO (Hostel and Student Affairs).
During his welcome address, Prof. RT Krishnan spoke about the second IIMB campus at Jigani and the institute’s plans to offer an undergraduate programme at the new campus, which can host 2500 students in the next five years. Prof. Ashok Thampy offered a glimpse of various activities of EPGP students. Prof. Sourav Mukherji spoke about the IIMBAA app and the new chapters of IIMBAA that are being opened all over the globe.
Sparsh 2024 provided the platform to the alumni to interact with IIMB faculty, peers, seniors, juniors and the current batch, on a day filled with a plethora of activities. An insightful panel discussion on 'Digitalization: Building a Future-ready Workforce' featured IIMB alumni Rajat Mathur, Partner, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), EPGP'13; Anirban Kundu, Global Lead - Digital Transformation, Kimberly-Clark, EPGP'11, and Pradnesh Deshmukh, Head of Digital at Trent Ltd, EPGP'13. The panel discussion was moderated by Prof. Sourav Mukherji.
Prabha Ravichandran, Retired Sr. Manager, EPGP Office, was felicitated for her contributions to the programme.
The alumni and current batch displayed their spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, indulging in fun and competition during various sporting events, including cricket, table tennis and badminton. The sports tournament was organized by the Sports Committee of EPGP.
The campus tour, walking down the memory lane, helped alumni and the current batch rediscover the IIMB campus and witness the transformative changes that define the institute’s journey over 50 remarkable years.
The grand finale in the evening comprised the cultural night with singing and dancing performances by the current batch. A fun-filled rapid fire was organized with all the alumni batches and photos of their time at IIMB were displayed, their fun moments shared, and their international immersion experiences revisited.
