IIMB to host sixth edition of healthcare leadership summit Ayusmat 2026
The annual conference will be organized by the GMHE alumni network
29 May, 2026, Bengaluru: Ayusmat 2026, the sixth edition of the healthcare leadership summit will be hosted by the alumni network of the General Management Programme for Healthcare Executives (GMHE) programme, an Executive Education Programme (EEP) offered by IIM Bangalore, on 04 July 2026.
The theme for Ayusmat 2026, ‘Reimagining Healthcare Systems for the Next Billion’, will focus on Systems, Scale, and Sustainability. The conference is expected to convene over 500 delegates from across the healthcare ecosystem for a day of dialogue, collaboration, and systems-level thinking.
As India’s healthcare ecosystem undergoes rapid transformation, the summit seeks to address one central challenge: how healthcare can move from fragmented excellence to coordinated system performance. It will explore how interoperable healthcare systems, scalable care delivery models, and sustainable healthcare practices can collectively shape the next decade of healthcare in India and beyond.
Healthcare stakeholders, including policymakers, hospital and health system leaders, clinicians transitioning into leadership roles, healthcare consultants and researchers, health-tech founders, med-tech innovators, investors, public health professionals, NGOs, and impact-driven organizations, are invited to participate.
Key highlights include:
- A keynote address on ‘Reimagining Healthcare Systems for the Next Billion: Systems, Scale & Sustainability’, examining the future trajectory of India’s healthcare ecosystem and the structural shifts required to deliver equitable, scalable, and sustainable care.
- A panel discussion on ‘Redefining Healthcare Beyond Metros’, focusing on rural healthcare access, last-mile delivery, workforce distribution, hub-and-spoke models, and public-private collaboration to strengthen healthcare systems across tier-2 and tier-3 regions.
- A session on ‘Quality Care @ Low Cost — Management Challenges’, bringing together healthcare leaders and management experts to deliberate on operational efficiency, cost optimization, clinical quality, and frugal innovation in healthcare delivery.
- A panel discussion titled ‘Clicks, Care & Consequences — The 3 C’s of Digital Health’, exploring the opportunities and challenges associated with AI in healthcare, telemedicine, electronic health records, data privacy, digital health equity, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Spotlight sessions on the evolving ownership landscape of Indian healthcare, patient-centric care delivery, and operational bottlenecks impacting healthcare systems and service delivery.
- Networking and collaboration opportunities for healthcare professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, clinicians, and innovators from across the healthcare ecosystem.
